Those surveyed were asked whether they have received the vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those who answered \u201cno\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nisra.gov.uk\/system\/files\/statistics\/NISRA%20COVID-19%20Survey%20Key%20Findings.pdf#page=4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">22%<\/a>) were then asked \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nisra.gov.uk\/sites\/nisra.gov.uk\/files\/publications\/NISRA%20COVID-19%20Survey%20Questionnaire%20Phase12.pdf#page=10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How likely or unlikely are you to have the vaccine for the Coronavirus (COVID-19)?<\/a>\u201d, with choices \u201cvery likely\u201d, \u201cfairly likely\u201d, \u201cfairly unlikely\u201d, or \u201cvery unlikely\u201d. Those who answered \u201cfairly unlikely\u201d or \u201cvery unlikely\u201d (24% combined) were then asked \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nisra.gov.uk\/sites\/nisra.gov.uk\/files\/publications\/NISRA%20COVID-19%20Survey%20Questionnaire%20Phase12.pdf#page=10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for what reason(s) are you unlikely to have a vaccine for the Coronavirus (COVID-19)?<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Statistics in context<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NISRA survey suggests that a quarter of those who are unvaccinated in Northern Ireland are unlikely to get vaccinated. It is important to read this in the context of the 78% of respondents who answered that they were already vaccinated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, of the 22% currently unvaccinated \u2014 24% indicated that they were unlikely to get vaccinated for COVID-19. This figure represents <b>5% of all survey respondents<\/b>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This context beyond the headlines associated with the survey results allows a more nuanced \u2014 and accurate \u2014 reading of its findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey results further details&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nisra.gov.uk\/sites\/nisra.gov.uk\/files\/publications\/NISRA%20COVID-19%20Survey%20Questionnaire%20Phase12.pdf#page=10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">why the 5% of respondents have indicated that they\u2019re unlikely to get vaccinated<\/a>.
