Ryan Miller
Editor
Ryan is Editor at FactCheckNI and oversees the day-to-day work of identifying claims, managing researchers, editing copy and publishing articles.
After graduating with a Master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Oxford he became a journalist, spending a decade moving between various newspapers in Belfast and press agencies in London.
He then moved into communications and research, and has more than ten years’ experience working for clients in the public, private and third sectors. This work included public affairs, public relations and policy research.
His unusual mixture of skills – involving an understanding of numbers and data, intimate knowledge of policy (in particular, within Northern Ireland) and the ability to communicate complex ideas to the
widest-possible audience made him the ideal choice to become our Editor in early 2022.
