Dr Phil Ramsey

Dr Phil Ramsey is Lecturer in the School of Communication and Media, and member of the Centre for Communication, Media and Cultural Studies at Ulster University. At Ulster he teaches political communication, public relations and digital media at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, and supervises PhD student across a number of areas. His research focuses on public service media and media policy in the UK and Ireland, and his work has been published in international journals that include Media, Culture & Society, Television and New Media and Journalism Practice. Phil is a Steering Committee member of Cultural Policy Observatory Ireland, and a member of editorial board for the Irish Journal of Arts Management and Cultural Policy. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. From 2018–2021, Phil was Chair of the Media, Communication and Cultural Studies Association Policy Network.
